Sydney. A View of the City from the Customs House
The famous Sydney Harbour Bridge is in front of us. This is a view from the Customs House. The Customs House is situated in Circular Quay, not far from the piers of Port Jackson.
A major repair of the building was undertaken in 2003 and since then the Sydney City Library is situated there. This architectural landmark is over 150 years old, the Customs House was opened between 1844 and 1845.
On the ground floor of the building is a model of the central part of Sydney, and on the top floor is Cafe Sydney, where this camera is set up.
Customs stopped functioning in the Customs House in 1990, but thanks to the Summer Olympics held in this city in 2000, the building earned the new status of “tourist center,” and since then it has been kept in a proper condition. It is visited by hundreds of tourists from around the world every day.
