Torri del Benaco. View over Manerba del Garda

We are observing one of the slopes of the Monte Baldo, the one where lies town of Torri del Benaco. On the opposite shore of the Lake Garda is situated Manerba del Garda. This small hamlet has a relatively plane landscape, something very unusual for this mountainous and cliffy area.

Today a popular resort place, Manerba del Garda had the fame of the den of robbers in middle ages. Those uneasy times are gone and now this town has doubled in population over the last hundred years. Actually, Manerba del Garda has become a popular destination for wealthy Italians from all over the country.
