Teichalm. Lake Teichalm
We are at an altitude of over one kilometer above sea level and, at the same time, we can see an Austrian resort rising above the mountains. Teichalm, a small lake in the Austrian Alps, offers tourists catamaran tours with stunning views of the nature of this region.
Teichalm is now the largest alpine pasture and was previously known as the center of glass production, because there were large deposits of quartz and limestone in the mountains.
The ascent to the highest peak of the mountain range, Hohlanch Grazer Bergland, begins to the west of the lake. Teichalm, as well as the surrounding mountains which we see on the screen, is part of Europe’s largest natural park, Almenland.
There are many hiking trails around Teichalm, some are dangerous and some are suitable for walking with children.
