Sokółka is a small Polish town not far from the border with Belarus. On the screen, you can see one of the town squares named after Tadeusz Kosciuszko, the military and political figure of Rzeczpospolita and the USA.

Around the square, there are several beautiful buildings, which are symbols of the town. First, is the church of St. Alexander Nevsky and the mayor’s office of Sokółka. The church can be seen on the left side of the picture, and the mayor’s office is on the right.

The church appeared on this place in the middle of the 19th century. Later, a bell tower was built near the main building of the church and, in the 20th century, a chapel was built there. The bell tower was badly damaged during the Second World War, but in 2010, it was completely reconstructed.

In the center of the picture, behind Bialostocka Street, is a museum in which you can have a closer look at the history of Powiat sokólski.
