Albufeira. The Beach of Hotel Sol E Mar

The sandy beach you see is in the heart of the old town of Albufeira. This Portuguese resort, in the south of the country, is not only famous for its beaches but also for its major seaport.

The camera is installed in the 6-story four-star Hotel Sol E Mar. It offers stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. There is an old town right behind the hotel where there are the main entertainment complexes for tourists, as well as a variety of restaurants with different cuisines, including traditional Portuguese.

This city has not always been a tourist place. In the nineteenth century, the Albufeira economy was based on fishing and sea freight. The famous landmark of this region of Portugal, Moorish Castle, is near the town.
