Kostroma. Susaninskaya Square

The center of Kostroma is Susaninskaya Square. The main important sites of the city are situated in a small area. The square itself is not so interesting, in contrast to the buildings surrounding it.

In the center is the fire tower, probably the most recognizable symbol of the city. Until recently, it had been used for its intended purpose but, in 2005, the Kostroma Museum-Reserve was opened in its building.

The camera is installed on the City Council building. Next to it is the Department of Culture and Tourism of Kostroma and the monument to Yuri Dolgoruky. Across the street from the Duma is the famous Kostroma shopping arcade. The Church of the Saviour is on its territory, in the trade rows.

On the right, you can see another architectural treasure of the city, the mansion of the senator Borshchov, which now houses the District Court of Kostroma.
