We can see that Murmansk consists mainly of typical multistory buildings. In the background is Kola Bay and a wooded, uninhabited territory.

In clear weather, port cranes are clearly visible along the coast of the Kola Bay. In 1915, during the First World War, a seaport was founded near the modern Murmansk, and Murmansk remains a major port city to this day.
