Rateče. Planica
Slovenia’s Kranjska Gora ski resort has not only slopes for amateurs and beginners, but is also a world-famous venue of sporting events at the highest level. This camera in the Planica area shows us many winter sports facilities.
The Planica district is located in the valley of the same name, which athletes call “springboard valley.” The first ski jumping facility appeared here in the 1930s. The most famous springboard, Letalnica, was built in 1969. This is the world’s largest springboard, where competitions are held annually. Up to 50,000 spectators can easily deposit themselves around this springboard. A large-scale reconstruction of Letalnica was carried out in 2013-2014 — the K-point was increased to K-200 and hill size to HS 225.
The PTZ camera periodically shows other sports facilities in Planica, including a full-sized football stadium and several indoor sports complexes.
