Camarena de la Sierra. Javalambre Ski Resort
There is an exotic place among the endless European ski resorts. Javalambre Ski Resort is located just 150 kilometers north of the famous coastal city of Valencia. The highest point of this resort is on the top of Mount Javalambre, 2,020 meters above sea level.
We are looking at several ski lifts and slopes of this complex from the lower Javalambre ski station. Fourteen kilometers of tracks are served here by 7 cable cars (3 chairlifts and 4 rope tows). The difference in altitude is not more than 350 meters, but this is enough for the local residents to have a good time at the nearest ski resort. There are no black trails here at all, but 4 kilometers of ski slopes were given a red level of complexity.
The price of a day ticket is 1.5-2 times lower than the average ticket in the Alpine resorts, about 35 euros. Javalambre Ski Resort belongs to the large ski area of Spain, Aramon. In total, this zone includes more than 250 kilometers of tracks over 5 different resorts.
Javalambre is a relatively young resort. It is constantly developing, and there are plans to increase the length of the trails and the number of chair lifts.
