Costa Adeje. Mount Teide and the Coast

This webcam is located in the wonderful seaside town of Adeje, which lies on the island of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands. This camera captures one of its famous attractions — Mount Teide. This mountain is the highest mountain in Spain and on the islands of the Atlantic Ocean.

Actually, Teide it is the world’s third largest volcano. After its last eruption in 1909, the beachline of Tenerife is covered with sand of unusual and strange dark color. If you want to experience the black sand pebble beaches, you should visit the northern coast of the island.

Costa Adeje, captured by the objective of our camera, is located on the southern tip of Tenerife. The entire coastal line of the town is full of hotels and apartments. On its west side Adeje borders with the Acantilados de Los Gigantes (something that can be beautifully translated as “Cliffs of the Giants”), the main mountain range of the southern coast. The area here features the most beautiful landscapes on the island.

The webcam shows us the street of Rafael Liuvina that stretches along the coastline of the town. Here are located many of the popular and expensive hotels, restaurants and cafes, a fact that makes it one of the most lively areas of Adeje. If we continue walking in the southern direction, we will without any fail come to the famous resort place called Playa de las Americas. It is one of the most popular destinations for the young Europeans and enthusiasts of interesting nightlife.
