Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Playa de Las Canteras

This webcam is located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and shows one of the city’s most visited places — Playa de Las Canteras Beach. This beach attracts tourists all year round thanks to the wonderful mild subtropical climate, clean water (the port itself and the marine terminal are located on the other side of the peninsula of La Isleta) and huge variety of local amusements, including water sports.

Playa de Las Canteras has always been popular mostly among families with children. This well-maintained sandy beach is protected from strong winds and ocean currents and waves by a natural barrier of coral sandstone. Enthusiasts of different water sports, for example like surfing and windsurfing, prefer to stay within the southern part of the beach.
