Santa Maria del Camí. Plaza de la Villa
We are heading to one of the secondary squares of the town of Santa Maria del Camí. It is located on the way from Palma to the northeastern resort of Alcudia. The camera in the Plaza de la Villa is directed toward the building in which the mayor’s office is located.
Tourists who accidentally come to this small town can look at the architectural monuments in the square and visit the local winery, Celler Sebastià Pastor. Plaza de la Villa is filled with restaurant tables almost all year round. In addition, there are benches, sculptures, and in the evening, the square is illuminated by beautiful lanterns.
In the background of the image, behind the municipality, you can see the high bell tower of the Church of Santa Maria del Camí, located in another square of the town, Escola Can Capó. The height of the bell tower is 37 meters. At different levels of the bell tower, there are memorable tablets, watches, as well as the remains of the former luxurious decorative elements. The dome is built in the baroque style.
In Plaza de la Villa there are no interesting buildings, like in Escola Can Capó, but you can try traditional Spanish dishes here, at Can Beia.
