The webcam is in Vigo, the largest city in Galicia. It was founded by the ancient Romans but nowadays you will hardly find any evidence of their presence or the importance of the city, the past centuries spared nothing. Vigo is hardly a resort town, its life is centered on other things. However, tourists and curious travelers often drop in here.

Most of the tourists come to Vigo to catch a ferry to one of the world’s best beaches, located on the island of Ilha Norte, which is part of the beautiful green archipelago of Islas Cies. Of course, there are beaches in and around the city, but they are not the same!

And if you stop in Vigo, then you should definitely take a stroll through the Old Town. You will not find the Roman architecture here, but the narrow medieval streets are very cozy and are not deprived of their inherent charm.
