Zermatt. Panorama from Riffelberg Station

Zermatt ski resort includes several ski areas. One of them is on the slopes of Mount Riffelhorn (2,927 meters above sea level). This mountain gave the name to the lift station Riffelberg-Express. We are looking at the panorama of the resort from this station.

The swivel camera starts its survey from the beautiful Matterhorn. Its top point, located at an altitude of 4,478 meters, is above the Riffelberg station by almost 2 kilometers! In front of it, you can see the mountain railway, which brings vacationers to the ski lifts of the resort.

Riffelberg-Express is an alternative way. A cable funicular connects Riffelberg to the lower Furi station. The difference in height between these stations is 700 meters, and you will overcome more than 2 kilometers in the elevator cabin.

There is an opportunity to start your journey on skies or snowboard from an even higher station, but to get to it, you need to change to the Gornergrat lift.
