Bangkok. Memorial Bridge

In front of us is the famous bridge across the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. Memorial Bridge was built during the reign of King Rama VII on the occasion of his inauguration in 1934. The construction took almost five years. Although the bridge was partly built at the expense of the kingdom, the bulk was paid by the people. In order to unload the traffic from the old bridge, another bridge, Phra Pokklao, was built with four lanes of traffic, in addition to the Memorial Bridge.

On the northern bank of the river is the city park, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon, and on the south is Princess Mother Memorial Park.

In contrast to other cities of Thailand, Bangkok has not only Buddhist temples, but also Catholic churches. For example, not far from the seafront where the camera is installed, is the Church of Santa Cruz, as well as Prayurawongsawas Waraviharn Temple.

In the background, we can see Bangkok River Park Condominium, towering over the city.
