Uthai Thani. Bridge over the Sakai Krang River

The Sakai Krang River, in Thailand, is a tributary of the Chao Phraya River. It serves as the boundary between the provinces of Uthai Thani and Nakhon Sawan, and merges with Chao Phraya, closer to the southern province of Chai Nat.

Sakai Krang is one of the main sources of income for the majority of the population of the province. They catch fish in the river and various loads are floated along it.

In 2011, the river caused a major flood. For almost seven weeks, all the buildings located on the banks of the river were flooded. The largest food markets of Uthai Thani suffered most.

The camera is between the bridge road and the pipeline. Borirak Bridge connects the district of Uthai Mai with one of the main highways of Thailand. On the other side of the river, from where we are looking at the bridge, is the city park and the Uthai Thani Technical College.
