Brighton. Panorama of the Embankment
We offer you a panorama of Brighton, the seaside resort of England. This city, together with neighboring Hove, form a unit of Brighton and Hove, which in 1997 received the status of a city. Along the wide sandy beach is the Kingsway Road. The thoroughfare and holidaymakers on the beach are separated by a wide boulevard, where you can see cafes, restaurants, outdoor pools, and other tourist infrastructure.
On the water are two piers, the ruins of the old Brighton West Pier and the new Brighton Pier. The West Pier was opened in 1866 and lasted 109 years. In 1916, a large concert hall was built on the pier, which was once famous. Since 1975, many attempts have been made to revive and reconstruct the legendary pier, but constant storms and fires have transformed the architectural masterpiece into ruins that we can now see in the center of the screen.
The completely new and grandiose construction on the waterfront is the 162-meter observation tower, British Airways i360. It rises above the city and the English Channel on the left side of the picture. Opened in 2016, the tower can receive about 800 thousand tourists annually. In the architectural community of the UK, the tower has received many negative assessments.
In the courtyard of the building on which this camera is installed, you can find the church, Saint Andrew’s Venue.
