Gibraltar. View from the Rock of Gibraltar

The Rock of Gibraltar is a tiny cape located in the straits between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. This rock has been a property of the United Kingdom since 1783.

This webcam is situated on the top of the mountain and features a great view over the harbour and ship docks of Gibraltar. The northern part of the port serves numerous cargo ships, the southern belongs to the Royal Navy of the United Kingdom. The night view over these territories is especially charming with its many lights coming from ships and docks.

In addition, about half of the Rock of Gibraltar is a nature reserve. It is famous for being the only home to Barbary macaques on the European territory. The monkey park is open for visitors and has a funny name «Apes’ Den».
