Sapper Hill has a central role in the history of the Falkland Islands. It lies on East Falkland, right to the south of Stanley, the capital town of the islands.

The hill is still heavily mined from the time of the Falklands War (1982), so please do not think about going hiking in that area.

If you want to learn more about the islands, you can visit a sheep farm and take a look at how the proper sheep farming should look like. Or just take a walk through the beautiful streets of Stanley.
