Bradenton. Perico Island. Surveillance Camera

The camera is installed in one of the coastal buildings on Perico Island, which is the intermediary between the large island of Anna Maria and the mainland of Florida. The camera catches the territory from Anna Maria Island Bridge, leading to Holmes Beach, to the coastline of Neal Preserve, located on Perico Island.

In the reserve, traces of a human, who lived here 3-5 thousand years ago, were found! Neal Preserve is a true open-air museum. Visitors are not allowed to take any souvenirs with them, whether it is a small stone or fragments of the old structures.

Special hiking trails are laid out in the reserve. Some 150 years ago Anna Maria Island and its “satellite” islands were uninhabited, but after the construction of the bridge in 1922, there began an active colonization of the territory and the further development of the resort.
