Breckenridge. Peak 8 Base

The webcam is in the resort town of Breckenridge with a view of the ski slope. Initially, the town was the place where prospectors, who were engaged in gold mining in the Rocky Mountains, lived. Breckenridge is distinguished, by its history, from most of the modern resort towns in Colorado, which emerged as an appendage to the ski area.

Of course, gold has not been mined here for a long time, as the mines have been turned into tourist attractions and the town’s livelihood relies on vacationers. Beautiful nature, alpine climate and the opportunity to go mountain skiing from November to April make this place one of the most visited ski resorts in the United States.
