This webcam is located in Waikiki, the beachfront neighborhood of the capital city of Honolulu. This beautiful place is a modern resort and surfing destination. Waikiki became popular more than a hundred years ago, in the far 1800s, when local Hawaiian royalty started coming here to surf.
Waikiki features some of the best beachline in Hawaii. The swimming season last 12 month and local hotels never get empty.
The coast is about 3 kilometres long and is divided into 7 beach areas. The most popular are located closer to the center of the city. In some places there are set breakwaters creating perfect conditions for recreation with small children.
