Waimea Bay Beach Park. Waimea Falls

Waimea Falls are part of Waimea Historic Natural Park. The section of the Waimea River occupies about one kilometer in the park. Throughout its length, you can find several picturesque waterfalls, the highest of which has a height difference of almost 14 meters.

Under the waterfalls, tourists can swim in fresh water; it’s a great alternative to a beach holiday on the ocean coast of the Hawaiian Islands. Extreme sportsmen jump from high waterfalls; swimming in the lower part of the waterfall is prohibited while jumping.

The walking route to the largest waterfall of the valley takes about 20-30 minutes. At Waimea Falls, you can find life jackets, as well as lifeguards who watch tourists. Until 2003, it used to have many attractions, trams, ATVs, kayaking, diving shows. It was decided to cancel all this to recreate the unique atmosphere of wild nature.

It’s open from 9 am to 5 pm. The park is closed at Christmas and New Year.
