Vega de San Mateo. Central Square

Webcam in a beautiful and interesting town called Vega de San Mateo. This town is located in the central part of the island of Gran Canaria, about 17 kilometeres away from the island’s calital city Las Palmas. The town has got plenty of historical and architectural monuments and is also very popular among tourists despite lack of beaches.

The current webcam is located on the central town square. Nearby is situated the 17th century Church of Saint Matthew (the town’s patron saint, by the way).

If you are staying in Las Palmas, don’t forget to visit this small town. Its main attraction is the Ethnological Museum La Cantonera, situated in a 300-year-old farmhouse with an interesting exhibition about Canarian’s everyday life from the past times till nowadays.
