Playa Blanca. The Iberostar Papagayo Hotel

This webcam is located in the town called Playa Blanca (“The White Beach”). It is the most southern settlement on the Lanzarote island.

It is a wide known fact that tourism, as an industry, can move mountains. This small town again and again proves this saying. Many years ago it was a common piscatory settlement, like any other village from a hundred on the Spanish coast. Today, thanks to the tourism and its indisputable benefits, Playa Blanca has become one of the greatest beach resorts of the Canary Islands, at least the third largest on the Lanzarote island.

This place still keeps its quiet and peaceful atmosphere in spite of the quickly growing number of hotels, restaurants, bars and shopping centers.
