Rovinj. The Panoramic View over the City

This webcam is located in Rovinj, a charming Croatian city that lies on the north Adriatic Sea. Rovinj has a very long history and was first time mentioned in the 6th century. Former a fishing port, Rovinj gained more attention as a resort city after the 1840s, when there was set up a regular connection by sea and rail in the area.

A part of the Old City is located here and can be seen on the picture from this webcam. Beautiful houses hanging on the cliffs above the sea seem to be climbing up, old red roofs and islands of green vegetation are mixed together in a picturesque manner. The Church of Saint Euphemia, one of the main landmarks of Rovinj, is dominating the entire picture and gives it visual completeness.
