Sydney. Sydney Football Stadium

The camera is installed outside the gate of the football field, on the fan grandstand of
Allianz Stadium (the commercial name of Sydney Football Stadium). The stadium was built in Moore Park side by side with another major sports venue: Sydney Cricket & Sports Ground Trust, where rugby, cricket and Australian Rules Football teams held their matches.

The stadium was built in 1988 and immediately became the main venue for major rugby and football matches. The attendance record was set during an Australia vs Argentina match; 43,967 spectators watched the qualifying match for the right to enter the World Cup in 1994. On the 31st of October, 1993, Australia accomplished a real feat and played in a draw (1: 1) with the famous South American team. However, the miracle didn’t repeat and, in the return match, Argentina beat the opponent 1: 0 at home.

After the reconstruction in 2012, the arena’s capacity increased to 45,500 people. It often hosts concerts and shows of world stars. Groups like Coldplay and Foo Fighters, singers like Taylor Swift and George Michael, and many other celebrities choose Sydney Football Stadium for their performances.
