Thredbo. The Cruiser Chair Lift
The ski resort of Thredbo is halfway between Melbourne and Sydney. You can ski here during the summer months, when the mountains of Australia are covered with snow. Both the village and the resort got their names after the river, which flows in the Snowy Mountains.
The camera is installed at the bottom station, The Cruiser. This four-seater chairlift has a length of 999 meters and a difference in altitude between stations of 214 meters. Trails under this lift are some of the most interesting in the resort. They start at an altitude of 1,894 meters above sea level, while the most important routes in Thredbo start from a height of 2,037 meters, to which the Karels yoke leads.
The population of Thredbo is about 500 people, but the village and its surroundings can accommodate up to 4000 tourists. During the ski season, about 700 thousand tourists come to this resort for the longest trails in the country. Walks, music festivals, cycling and fishing are popular in the mountains of Thredbo during other seasons. About 300 thousand travelers visit the city in the warm season.
The cost of the ski pass, which allows you to use fifty of the resort’s tracks, is 125 Australian dollars (~ 95USD).
