Alpbach. Hornlift 2000 Station

We are leaving for one of the most interesting trails of the Alpbachtal Ski Resort. It is located next to the Hornlift 2000 cableway, at the bottom station of which this rotating webcam is installed. The track, Wiedersberg Abfahrt, has a challenge level of ‘expert’, so the skiers whom you can see on the screen have some skiing experience.

Hornlift 2000, with four-seater chairs, was built in 1999, has a height difference of 371 meters and covers 1 kilometer in 8 minutes. The maximum capacity of this cableway is 1,600 people per hour. The upper station of the lift is located at an altitude of 2,036 meters above sea level, which is only 92 degrees below the peak of Wiedersberger Horn.

At the top station of the lift is Cafe Hornalm. Its terrace offers an excellent view of the Alpbach Valley. Here, you can try hearty Austrian cuisine, or just warm yourself with delicious hot chocolate.

Hornlift 2000 is not the only lift in the resort. You can use, without exception, all the cableways of Alpbach on a single ticket. A ski pass for one day costs 41 euros.
