Andelsbuch. Launch Pad for Paragliders on Bregenzerwald Mountain

Bregenzerwald Mountain is located in the northwest of Austria, near the town of Bregenz and Lake Bodensee. On a clear day, you can see this famous lake in the background. The borders of three countries, Switzerland, Germany and Austria, meet in this area.

From the upper station of Bergbahnen Andelsbuch ski resort, we are looking toward the village of Andelsbuch, built at the foot of the mountain. The top of Bregenzerwald is unique because you can not only do downhill skiing or snowboarding, but also go hang-gliding and paragliding, even in winter. Detailed information about flights can be found on the website of the Bregenzerwald flying school.

The height of the mountain is just 1710 meters, it is not so significant, in comparison with the best Austrian ski resorts, so the price of the lifts is not high. A day ticket costs about 30 euros and an all-season ski pass, for a family with children, is 550 euros. There are several lifts; the information for each can be found here.
