Bad Gastein. Mount Stubnerkogel
We are at Mount Stubnerkogel in the Austrian Alps. The surveillance camera at the station of the Senderbahn ski lift shows the main attraction of this mountain – the Stubnerkogel suspension bridge. At first glance, it may seem that only madmen are able to walk on the bridge. But once you are there, it becomes clear that the bridge is sufficiently reliable to not worry about its safety.
The bridge is 140 meters long, only 1 meter wide and has a transparent floor, so the passage through it will be one more exciting adventure in the Bad Gastein mountains. The bridge and the slope of the mountain are separated by 28 meters, so you will not go over a giant precipice.
The unique design of the suspension bridge is capable of withstanding wind gusts at speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour. On the bridge, you can get to the round viewing platform, Glocknerblick, built on Stubnerkogel. The diameter of this site is 7 meters, but in form, it is somewhat like a torch.
