On your screens is a small lake in the village of Falkert, in the Alps. Actually, the village was named after the lake. Despite its modest size (305 by 187 meters), Falkert Lake is a popular resort in Austria; the beach area stretches out along the banks for almost one kilometer and there are guest houses, hotels and small cafes in the area.

The lake is full of trout, brown trout, brook trout, arctic char and minnow. The fish can be seen from the shore, while walking around the lake or from a rented boat.

On-land fauna is also interesting. It’s great to meet marmots, which can be found in the tourist region of Falkert. Hiking is very developed here. A lot of interesting routes and natural attractions await guests of Falkert, in the summer months.

In winter, the ski area is open. There are twelve kilometers of trails, of varying degrees of complexity, on the mountains slopes, four chairlifts, one rope tow and three conveyor belts. Fans of cross-country skiing can find more than eight kilometers of specially prepared trails here and there is a snow park for children.
