Turracher Höhe. View of the Village from the West

On your screen is a small village in the mountains of Austria with an unpronounceable name. Turracher Höhe is the common name for a local pond, mountain pass, the road laid from north to south, and the ski resort. One of the tracks on the western side of Turracher Höhe offers us magnificent views of alpine nature.

The height of the mountains surrounding the village, from the west and east, is two kilometers above sea level, so tourism is very well-developed here, especially walking in the mountains, skiing and snowboarding. Turracher Höhe also has a cultural program, which includes visiting local museums and attractions. But the 200-250 thousand tourists, who come here every year, are more interested in the cable way and mountain slopes.

Turracher Höhe has a well-developed forestry industry and the history of this village is connected with logging. At the same time, as you may have noticed, forest in the village remains intact, so guests can enjoy the resort’s beautiful trees growing on the slopes of the mountains and around the lake.
