Fendels. Mountain Station, 1,865 m

It’s just an hour’s drive from Innsbruck Airport. The village of Fendels is tiny, but it is a ski resort.

The difference in heights on the slopes located here is 948 meters. The ski season lasts from December to April. There is excellent snow cover here, and tracks are protected from the winds. Extremals like slopes in the Fendels area because of fogs in the valley.

As you see, the resort doesn’t have a hundred kilometers of trails. But, there are tracks for every taste, though not numerous. There are 8 km for beginners, 6 km for confident skiers, and only 2 km for pros. Perhaps it is not very comfortable for families with children, but for loners and couples who love solitude, it’s fine.
