Fieberbrunn. Reckmoos Station
The skiing area of Reckmoos is split between the two Austrian villages of Fieberbrunn and Hinterglemm. A panoramic camera shows us the ski slopes and ropeways built at Reckmoos Station. Mass tourism in this zone began to develop in 2006, when the ski lift, Reckmoos Süd, was erected on the southern slope. The eight-seater cabins of this funicular serve up to 2,000 people per hour. Trails under the cable cars have an increased level of complexity.
Due to the fact that Reckmoos quickly gained popularity among skiers and snowboarders, in 2011, the station was replenished with one more lift. This time, the northern slopes were involved. Reckmoos Nord turned out to be more spacious. With 10 people in each cable car, rising to an altitude of 1,873 above sea level, skiers could not only rest between the ski slopes but also enjoy the Alpine scenery through the panoramic glazing of the cabin, as well as the floor.
In the summer months, from Reckmoos Station, tourists go to conquer the peak of Wildseeloder, located at an altitude of 2,119 meters. On the way to it, you can stay on the shore of the Wild Lake in the hut, Wildseeloderhaus, built in the late 19th century.
