Gosau. Zwieselalm Upper Station

A rotary camera in Zwieselalm Resort, in Gosau, is installed at the station of Panorama-JET-Zwieselalm. We can see stunning Alpine landscapes, as well as the Aussichtsberg lift, where skiers and snowboarders arrive at its top station to take a fascinating journey along the Dachstein West trails.

The eight-seater Panorama-JET cabins connect the Gosau-Hintertal area with the top, where we are now. The difference in altitude between the two stations of this funicular is more than 750 meters, and the length of the way that the cabins travel is 2.2 kilometers. During the ascent, tourists can enjoy the views of the Dachstein glacier. The funicular‘s 61 cabins are capable of serving more than 2,000 skiers per hour.

The Aussichtsberg cableway is much simpler than its neighbor. Its four-seater chairs serve the slope with a height difference of only 258 meters. Despite the fact that the chairs move along a route that is almost three times shorter than Panorama-JET‘s, the journey time is about the same, a little over 6 minutes.

In the summer, you can see tourists who come to Gosau for walks on the mountain peaks, as well as extreme paragliders because Zwieselalm Station has a launch pad for them.
