Halbenrain. Community Center
The fairground community, Halbrenrain, with a population of less than 2,000 people, is located near the border with Slovenia. Tourists rarely come here, mostly passing through Slovenian lands on their way from Croatia to Graz. The camera in the center of the community is directed towards Steintalstraße, on which the main attractions of the village are built.
We are looking at the center of the community from the administrative and public center of Halbenrain. In the foreground, there is a parking lot in front of the town council; on the right, are shops and a gas station and, in the center, is traffic at the intersection of Steintalstraße and B69.
Just behind the intersection, you can find a small inconspicuous street, Dietzenerstraße. It is very interesting for travelers because the Roman Catholic church of Halbenrain is located on this street. The tower of this church is visible at the very beginning of the rotation of the camera. The church is mentioned in the documents of the early 15th century, but the modern building was erected three centuries later. In 1962, large restoration works were carried out in the church.
When the camera turns to the west, it becomes clear that Halbenrain is quite a small village because its center and agricultural fields are separated by a couple hundred meters.
