Hochgurgl. Top Mountain Motorcycle Museum
Traveling by car, along the Alpine serpentine, you don’t expect to see a modern architectural landmark, which also contains an interesting exposition. In the northern part of the Austrian Gurgl Valley, tourists are surprised to discover the Top Mountain motorcycle museum built on the Ötztal road.
Top Mountain Crosspoint is built at an altitude of 2,175 meters above sea level. This is a multifunctional center, with a checkpoint toll road, a restaurant, and the bottom station of the new cableway, Kirchenkarbahn, which has replaced the old Kirchenkarlift.
Not surprisingly, this museum is the highest mountain one in Europe, the exhibition of which is dedicated to vehicles. On an area of 3 thousand square meters, there are more than 200 retro motorcycles of 100 manufacturers, from all over the world. Moreover, old cars are also exhibited in some halls. A ticket to the museum costs € 10 per person.
The camera is installed at the entrance to the 186 toll road. On the screen, we can see the parking lot of the museum, the checkpoint, the terrace of the restaurant and the Gurgl Valley.
