Innsbruck. Seegrube Station

Seegrube is an intermediate point on the way to the top of Hafelekarspitze. The cableway to this station was built at the beginning of the last century. In 1928, a unique cabin lift was built, carrying up to 50 passengers in each cabin.

In 2006, the lift system to the Seegrube station was rebuilt. Now 95-cabin lifts are traveling here at a speed of 10 meters per second. The distance covered by travelers during the ascent is about 3 kilometers, and the difference in altitude between the upper and lower Seegrubenbahn stations is more than 1 kilometer.

The surveillance camera is set aside from the Seegrube station, so not only can we appreciate the beauty of the Austrian city of Innsbruck and the giant peaks of the Northern Chain, but we can also look at the building of the station itself. There is a restaurant, a nightclub, and a couple of souvenir shops.

On the slopes of Hafelekarspitze, you can see several lines with solar batteries, the energy of which is used to power cable cars.
