Kitzbühel. Mount Hahnenkamm
We are in the Tyrolean resort of Kitzbühel. You can see the slopes of Mount Hahnenkamm. The rotary camera shows cableways, mountain hotels, restaurants and beautiful Alpine peaks.
Mount Hahnenkamm is not high, but it is good for mass tourism. In the summer, huge crowds of tourists walk along the serpentine, and in the winter, families come here to ride along easy ski slopes.
We are at an altitude of 1,665 meters above sea level, which is only 47 meters lower than Hahnenkamm. To develop tourism, the first cableway connecting Kitzbühel and the summit appeared in 1929.
Despite the wide variety of light trails that suit even children, there are slopes for professionals in Kitzbühel. The annual World Cup in Alpine skiing, Hahnenkamm-Rennen, is held here, and the downhill “Streif” is considered one of the most difficult in the world.
As for the rich traditions of Kitzbühel, it is worth noting that the first skiing competitions were held here in the 19th century.
