Klaffer am Hochficht. Gasthaus zum Überleben

Hochficht is a small ski resort in the north of Austria, built near the border with the Czech Republic. Several ski lifts of this resort allow tourists to go to the border area. In the summer, you can explore the mountain peaks and, in the winter, start skiing down toward Austria.

A panoramic camera is installed at an altitude of 1 kilometer above sea level, in front of the guest house, Gasthaus zum Überleben. In 2017-2018, a modern funicular, or rather its intermediate station, was built next to it. Hochficht cannot compete with the popular Austrian ski resorts because of its simple landscape, but the trails of this resort are quite suitable for the residents of the Rohrbach district.

Because of its low popularity, Hochficht has been using simple chairlifts and ropeways for many years. The new cableway, Reischlbergbahn, has become a real tourist attraction for Hochficht. During the ascent, tourists can admire the nature on the border of three states from 10 panoramic cabins.

As for Gasthaus zum Überleben, you can taste Austrian cuisine in the restaurant of this guest house, as well as hold a major event or celebration.
