Kössen. Kössen Ski Resort

The closer an Austrian ski resort is to Germany, the less attractive it is for professional athletes. This is true about Tyrolsky Kessen, located four kilometers from the German border.

The camera at the lower station of the Hochkössen cableway shows us booths moving along a 2.5-kilometer path and carrying tourists to 860 meters high. We can also see the bottom of ski slopes, which in the summer months turn into pastures.

Near the station is a large guest parking lot, several hotels, bars and Wilder Kaiser camping for the most economical travellers.

In the summer, a return cableway ticket costs 19 euros. Hiking, as well as paragliding and biking are popular here.

In the winter, the ticket for the ski lifts is twice as expensive as in the summer, but you can use it throughout the day, and the number of working lifts during ski season is much larger than in the summer.
