Kössen. Panorama of the Ski Resort

Kössen is a simple ski resort built on the northern slope of Unterberghorn. The surveillance camera flies over the lower stations of Gipfellift and Almlift. Both of which deliver tourists to an altitude of 1,690 meters above sea level, 83 meters below the summit of Unterberghorn.

These cableways were built in the mid-1990s and serve only a small part of the ski slope. To get to the station you see on the screen, you need to first use Hochkössen. By the way, in the summer months, the playground at the upper station of Hochkössen is used as a runway by paragliders and hang gliders.

If you are looking at the slopes of Unterberghorn in clear weather, you probably have already noticed the giant mountains in the background of the image, this is the Kaiser mountain range, the peaks of which are more than two kilometers above sea level.

Look at the big house above the funicular station — this is Bärenhütte, a restaurant that serves traditional Tyrolean dishes, which can be enjoyed on the outdoor terrace overlooking the Alps.
