Langkampfen. View of the City of Kufstein, from the Mountain, Pendling
We can see a beautiful Alpine town of Kufstein, built on the banks of the River Inn. We look at it from the mountain, Pendling. The camera is installed in a mountain hut, Pendlinghaus, which is open to visitors, daily, from late April to early November.
Right at the foot of the hill is an airfield, Kufstein-Langkampfen, so you can get to the Austrian cities of Kufstein and Langkampfen by air. Kufstein doesn’t have ski resorts, like other small towns in Austria, so mainly domestic tourism is developed here.
In addition to hiking trails in the surrounding mountains, Kufstein is famous for its fortress, built in 1205. It is considered not only the main attraction of the city, but the whole of Tyrol. Built on a high hill, the castle is now used as a city museum and exhibition place for Kufstein.
Back in town, you can find a beautiful town hall, medieval churches and houses, as well as the ruins of an ancient Roman tower, Thierberg.
