Maria Alm. Aberg Station

Abergalm is the top point of the ski resort of Maria Alm. The panoramic camera shows us the Abergalm cableway, built in 1989. Of course, in comparison with modern cabin lifts, this four-chair lift looks obsolete, but take into account that it serves only a part of the 1,718-meter ski slope.

The capacity of the Abergalm is almost 2,000 passengers per hour, and given that not all tourists dare to climb to a maximum of 1,897 meters above sea level, there are almost no queues at the lower station of the lift. It is best to ski in this area of the resort in clear, windless weather because the way to the top takes more than 8 minutes.

Next to the cableway station, we see the large mountain restaurant, Bergstadl. In good, clear weather, all skiers prefer to have a snack on the open terrace of the restaurant, which offers a stunning view of Alpine peaks. Dirndlalm, another restaurant on Aberg, is Bergstadl’s competitor.

When the camera turns to the north, we can see the resort area of Aberg, located at the foot of the mountain.
