Nauders. Tscheyeck Station
Tscheyegg (also known as Tscheyeck) is one of the peaks of the Austrian Nauders Resort. It is not surprising that a cableway station is built on it because the nearby slopes are excellent for ski runs.
In the last century, there was a small funicular with two-seater chairs. Every year, as the resort developed, it became obvious that the capacity of the cableway should be increased. So Tscheyeckbahn, a new lift, appeared. Since 2000, six-seat armchairs, which carry up to 2,000 tourists per hour, have been rising to Tscheyeck, the height of which reaches 2,666 meters above sea level.
In addition to the tourist function, Tscheyeck is used for more serious tasks; near the top, there is an avalanche warning service that notifies the whole region about possible snow gatherings.
The survey camera, at the upper station of Tscheyeckbahn, shows us the landscapes of the Alpine mountains, as well as the neighboring peaks, Tscheyjoch (2,600 meters) and Gueser Kopf (2,740 meters), and a wide ski trail between them.
