Neustift im Stubaital. Panoramabahn Elfer Station
The majestic Stubai Alps, located to the south of Innsbruck, have such steep slopes that ski resorts were built only at the foot of this mountain range. We are at one of these resorts, at its top station, Elferbahn, which is also known as Panoramabahn Elfer. Not only do the exciting trails of the Neustift im Stubaital ski resort start from an altitude of 1,790 meters above sea level, but we can also enjoy a stunning panorama of the Alpine mountains and valleys.
The rocky peaks of the Stubai Alps, whose heights exceed 2.5 kilometers, are behind our backs now. The survey camera shows us a cableway station and the Stubai Valley. When the weather is fine, and the camera turns to the northeast, you can see the territory of Innsbruck.
A modern cabin lift, Elferbahn, was built in 2004, and its capacity is 1,200 people per hour; on this lift, tourists travel almost two kilometers, from the foot of the mountain to the Elfer Station.
Elferhütte can take you even higher, to a very difficult route, from the station you see on the screen.
