Rio de Janeiro. The Sugarloaf Mountain and Air Shuttle Rio - San-Paulo

For many of us Rio de Janeiro is a synonym of the everlasting summer, carnival and bright and unforgettable emotions. This panoramic view over the city, captured by our webcam, is a sure and direct proof of this statement. The famous Sugarloaf Mountain, which is clearly seen in the distance, is 395 meters high and is one of the main landmarks of Rio de Janeiro. From the top of it opens a terrific view over the entire city, the Guanabara Bay and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.

You can reach the summit of the mountain with the help of two local cableways. In fact, they are over 100 years old, but today offer their visitors modern glass cars with stunning views. The first car takes you up to the intermediate stop at Mountain Urca (220 meters high). Air tours around Rio de Janeiro (a very popular tourist attraction for today) start as well from this point.

This webcam shows also some of the beautiful neighboring islands.
