Karlovac. The Outdoor Stage of the Town Theater Zorin Dom

Zorin Dom is a real symbol and pride of Karlovac. This theater is interesting not only from the point of view of the cultural life of the Croatian town, but also as an architectural landmark. Residents of Karlovac, as well as its guests, should visit the theater and its park. The camera, which shows an open-air music ground, is installed there.

The history of the Karlovac Theater dates back to the 17th century. At first, the troupes performed at local restaurants and bars, and only by the end of the 19th century did they get their own building. Zorin Dom was built in the neo-Renaissance style in the very center of the town, near the embankment of the river Kupa. Today, the theater houses performances, exhibitions, concerts, and other art and cultural events.

Now, Zorin Dom looks modern in comparison with the original design of 1892. In the middle of the last century, the professional troupe ceased to exist, and the building of the theater was closed for reconstruction. The new opening of the Zorin Dom took place in 2001.
