Varaždin. The City Square

The beautiful city of Vȁraždīn is the center of Vȁraždīn county. It is an old and interesting city, which stands near the Drava River. First written reminding about it is dating back to the beginning of the previous millennium. Its ancient architecture and original Croatian traditions attract many tourists and admirers of olden time.

Among the most visited and popular sites of the city are Varaždin Castle in the Old Town, The Roman Catholic Diocese of Varaždin, Baroque Town Hall (with a dozen other Baroque palaces) and The Old Town (Stari Grad) Museum.

Our webcam shows one of the central squares of the city. Charming local restaurants and cafes are always full of people. Especially during the annual music festivals of Vȁraždīn, like Baroque Evenings festival.
